Really just for beginners

I liked the layout for the book, however the two pages sections do not provide enough information to actually learn. As already mentioned, the examples/samples need to be available for download. It is a good book for a real beginner, but if you have a basic knowledge of Access then this book is not for you. I have never used a "Teach Yourself Visually" book and it was a real let down.

If You Are A Visual Learner, These Books Are Great

I own several Teach Yourself Visually books (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and this Access version is just as helpful. This book gives you enough information so you can navigate around and generally get the answer you are looking for without a lot of hunting. The visuals are well drawn and extremely helpful -- they remind me of cartoons that keep you interested but not distracted. Best of all, you don't have to have a book on your shelf with 'IDIOTS' in the title.

Teach Yourself Visually is My Favorite Technical Book Series

I have always been a fan of the Teach Yourself Visually book series. I always recommend the series to my friends who are looking for a technical book. The books are in full color and easy to understand with step by step instructions. Access 2007 is everything I was looking for in a quick reference.
